Tallgrass IPA

Tallgrass is a relatively young brewery, and one that has promise... but overall this is an IPA that needs a bit more.

The pour out of this pint can was underwhelming as the foam was lackluster and faded fast. The aroma was surprisingly malty with a lack of hop presence which led to a flavor that started with a light hop bitterness and a relatively strong grassy-like taste. On the positive, it was an easy drinking beer with a rather light mouthfeel and an easy finish.

In the end I'd say this is a beer that needs some more hop character in the aroma, flavor, and overall bitterness.

Tallgrass is from Manhattan, KS.
