Bear Republic Endo '10

April 19, 2011

Overall Grade:B+

Smooth and creamy with a touch of bitterness.

A pretty drinkable beer with solid flavor, it's creamy, hoppy and malty all at the same time. Sweet flavors largely hide bitterness and allow for a smooth finish. I felt like there was something missing mid-taste, though. It got a little dry and light on flavor.

Endo '10, which is Bear Republic's 2010 end of the year experimentation beer, has a sweet, malty aroma. It's a transparent copper/amber colored ale.

I don't believe this offering was bottled and distributed. I had it on tap at a northern California brewpub. If you can find it, it's worth a taste.
