Overall Grade:B-
Taste:B-
Drinkability:D+
Aroma:B

Very sweet. Surgary from start to finish.

It has some similarities to Dogfish Head's Palo Santo Marron in that it's a high-alcohol beer that upon first exposure may be too much for many people.  If tasted in small sips, it becomes much more drinkable.  It has the basic characteristics of a stout, toasty, chocolaty, with coffee undertones.  Unfortunately, the syrupy texture and slightly cloying sweetness overrides the more enjoyable aspects.

It's not something that we'd recommend in large quantities. We'd suggest a four ounce pour.

Syrupy aroma.
