Alimony Ale

February 3, 2012

Overall Grade:B-
Taste:B-
Drinkability:B+
Aroma:C+

A good dose of hops with a sweet, mellow finish.

This generously flavored IPA starts strong and tastes like a higher ABV beer than 6.8%. It's crisp, clean and well-balanced between bitter and sweet.

Sweet, malty aroma.

I'm not as big of a fan of the mid-taste as I am the initial flavor and the finish. It gets a little bland, but it is drinkable. At the end of the day, this isn't a brew that has enough stand-out characteristics to make me want to go out of way to get more. It's a solid offering that's better than many of the beers on draft in my region, but there are better options out there.
