Knee Deep Brewing Hop Shortage

March 17, 2013

Overall Grade:A
Taste:A
Drinkability:B-
Aroma:B

Impressively smooth up front with a late explosion of lingering bitterness.

Drinkably hoppy with pleasant lingering bitterness lingers, Hop Shortage is a well-balanced brew.

I'm not much of a fan of the hopacular beers that linger; it's not my style. Somehow, Hop Shortage is different. It goes down with enough sweetness, which also lingers, that it's pretty balanced and tasty. You don't taste the alcohol either.

Sweet, hoppy aroma. An 11%+ ABV beer, it hides the smell of the alcohol well and has a relatively faint aroma overall.
