Speakeasy Prohibition Ale

May 20, 2013

Overall Grade:A
Taste:A
Drinkability:B
Aroma:A

Impressive balance of malt and hops.

Starts with a bit of creamy malt sweetness before transitioning into a surprising dose of hops. Finishes with a touch of lingering bitterness.

I've tried a lot of beers and I haven't had anything like Prohibition. It's well-balanced, flavorful and, all things considered, pretty drinkable. Think caramel sweetness on a collision course with a heavy dose of hops.

Standout, sweet malt aroma.
