Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Wild

August 11, 2013

Overall Grade:A
Taste:A
Drinkability:B
Aroma:A-

Burst of hops with a sweet finish.

Hoppy and slightly bitter up front, before a kick of yeast comes in, followed by a transition back to bitter and then a bittersweet finish.

Dynamic and powerful overall, without being too overpowering. It has the spicy flavor of a Belgian beer with the finish of a hoppy IPA, a hybrid done well. There's a lot of flavor but it isn't super drinkable. Little Sumpin' Wild is a high-quality, unique offering. I'll definitely be seeking it out again next summer.

Robust, sweet, yeasty, hoppy aroma that hints at tart flavor.
