Crooked Stave St. Bretta (Summer)

August 18, 2013

Overall Grade:A-

Very tart but clean finishing.

Pretty mellow up front but when it hits the back of your tongue, it's a strong kick of a sour. Carbonated finish calms down and masks the tart flavors of the beer while still letting a touch of bitterness shine through.

Flavorful without being overpowering. Drink it quickly for an in-your-face sour taste or slowly for a more balanced flavor.

Sour, yeast aroma with plenty of Brettanomyces. The familiar aroma of a sour.
